Musayeroh Barrie emerged as the winner in a hotly contested beauty contest organised by the Prime Time Entertainment in London on Friday August 11. Musayeroh, who is a student in Sierra Leone, made history by being the first ever to win the competition twice in a row after emerging as the beauty queen in last year's competition held in Freetown.

Musayeroh beat her fellow contestants, mostly based in the UK, hands down with Williama Iloba and Fudia Bangura trailing second and third, respectively. Last year she represented Sierra Leone at the World Beauty contest in Tanzania, but her coveted prize this year would see her representing Sierra Leone at the November 2006 World Beauty contest in Taiwan.

The contest, organised at the Mill Wall Stadium Sports Complex, was itself punctuated with many side shows by popular Sierra Leonean and Ghanaian artists such as Bunny Mark, King Masko, Emmanuel and co. etc.

The MCs of the event were actor and former SLBS broadcaster Alan Smith, who is the chairman of the Prime Time Entertainment and Founder and Executive Director of the group, Sheku Abes Kamara. In one of his remarks, Mr Kamara noted that the aim of their organisation is to boost tourism in Sierra Leone.
